Privacy Policy
How Syncronos collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our planning and scheduling service.
1. Introduction
Syncronos ("Syncronos," "we," "us," or "our") provides a planning and scheduling workspace at syncronos.app and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories:
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, display name, and profile preferences you provide during signup or in Settings.
- Workspace data: tasks, calendar events, study blocks, planner preferences, work-queue check-ins, notes, and other scheduling content you create or import.
- Usage information: feature interactions, schedule-generation activity, billing entitlement status, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Payment information: paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status, plan type, and customer identifiers from Stripe, but we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: messages you send to us for support or legal inquiries.
- Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address, and cookies or similar technologies used for authentication and security.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service, including syncing your workspace across devices.
- Generate and adapt schedules using automated and AI-assisted features you request.
- Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and manage billing through Stripe.
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect the security of accounts and data.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about important service changes.
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve reliability, performance, and product design.
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and users.
4. AI-assisted features
When you use Build, Optimize, Insights, or assistant features, relevant workspace content and prompts you submit may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate scheduling suggestions for you.
We do not use your workspace content, prompts, imported schedules, or other user content to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. AI requests are processed only to deliver the feature you asked for (for example, parsing a syllabus, suggesting calendar changes, or answering a question about your week).
Our AI providers act as subprocessors under contractual terms that prohibit them from using your content to train or improve general-purpose models. We do not sell your content to AI companies for training purposes.
Do not submit sensitive personal information you do not want processed for this purpose. AI outputs may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by you before relying on them.
We take reasonable steps to limit AI processing to what is needed to provide the requested feature.
6. Storage, retention, and deletion
Workspace data is stored locally in your browser and, when you sign in, may sync to cloud storage associated with your account so you can access it across devices.
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
You may delete planner data from your device in Settings. You may request account deletion by contacting us; some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as billing records.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You can update account details in Settings and control local data stored in your browser. To exercise privacy rights, contact support@syncronos.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Effective" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
